There is a place called Tigris located in Oceana County, MI. I found a family living in Elbridge Township, Oceana County, MI on the 1870 census. It looks like the word Elbridge is on the photo. The family members were George, age 28, born in Scotland; Sophronia, 20, Canada; Edward 2, MI; George A, 9 mo., MI; and Alfred, 9 mo., MI.

    My Great,great grandfather was a Geo Tate From Tennessee.
    Never saw a photo of him but I guess could adopt this Geo???
