This is a CdV from the Antique Shop in Verndale Minnesota.

The photographer is I. Henry Doerr  Corner Twelfth And Market Sts.  Louisville, KY
The Cdv most likely dates from about  1881 –1886.  I think she is about 16 years old…just a guess.

  2. There was one family tree on Ancestry including this couple's names, but with no descendants listed for anyone in that extended family, it's not likely a good source for finding a living relative who'd be interested in the photo. Same with Rootsweb.

    Sure were a lot of Fricks buried at that same cemetery, as well as Busches. However, using the book Iggy mentioned, none of the names of the family seemed to match up with the burial records on Find A Grave.

    What do you suppose is the significance--if any--of the choice of the covering over the chair? And is that a ring she is showing off???

  3. Yes it is a ring. I wondered about the blanket, perhaps it was a gift from someone special? Maybe a grandmother.
