This is a Real Photo Postcard from the Antique Mall in Detroit Lakes Minnesota. It is a AZO postcard from 1904 to 1920. I will guess that this one was taken closer to 1904.
I wonder did they say “We will meet you on Sunday at the bridge?”

An old timber railroad trestle. Not many of those still exist.
ReplyDeleteI find the logs in the river interesting. Do you think the logs are on the way to a sawmill? I don't know much about the logging industry, but I do recall hearing logs were pushed down the river in the early days.
ReplyDeleteI suspect the railroad was a "logging" one - set up to get timber down from the hills.
