This is a photo from the Antique Mall in Alexandria Minnesota.
The photographer was the Taylor Studio in New Bremen Ohio. It is displayed in a wonderful Art Deco inspired folder. I thought at first that this was a 1950’s photo…but now I am thinking it might be from the late 1930’s.
The bride wears a white gown with a sweetheart neckline and a long train. She wears a fingertip veil trimmed in daisies and held high on her head with a crown. She carries a large bouquet of ferns and carnations. The only jewelry we see is a necklace with a cross. The groom wears a single breasted pin stripe suit and a single carnation in his lapel, his wedding band is visible.
Thanks for stopping by.
What a big lovely wedding it must have been.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I wonder who in Minnesota knew someone in New Bremen, Ohio. Doesn't it make you just mad that these lovely keepsakes bear no identification?!?!
ReplyDeleteJames Delbert Taylor born in 1890 was the photographer - he is listed as a photographer in the 1920, 1930, and 1940 US Census. His father was also a photographer.
ReplyDeleteHe is Find A Grave Memorial# 10984768 (there is a photo of him and his obit).
