This is a photo from Dave’s antique shop in Laporte Minnesota.
A couple from the 1940’s. The bride’s hair is just perfect! She wears a suit with shoulder pads and a huge corsage. The groom wears a fancy colorful tie and a carnation on his lapel.
The photographer is Newburg Studio in Minneapolis Minnesota. I can find references to them being in business but the dates are elusive.

Now, there's a couple who look like they could be the people down the street, or everyday someones we'd know. Her corsage is certainly impressive! Though I wonder how heavily it hangs on the material of her outfit.

Nels O Newburg and his son Rodney H Newburg were photographers.
ReplyDeleteRodney H worked at least from 1940 to 1955. He is Find A Grave Memorial# 137601363
Nels died in 1948 - but the studio remained in business until at least 1955.
