Photo Number 1945

This is a photo from Dave’s antique shop in Laporte Minnesota.

Unknown Newburg Studio MPLS Laporte Ant

A couple from the 1940’s.  The bride’s hair is just perfect!  She wears a suit with shoulder pads and a huge corsage.  The groom wears a fancy colorful tie and a carnation on his lapel.

The photographer is Newburg Studio in Minneapolis Minnesota. I can find references to them being in business but the dates are elusive.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Now, there's a couple who look like they could be the people down the street, or everyday someones we'd know. Her corsage is certainly impressive! Though I wonder how heavily it hangs on the material of her outfit.

  3. Nels O Newburg and his son Rodney H Newburg were photographers.

Rodney H worked at least from 1940 to 1955. He is Find A Grave Memorial# 137601363

Nels died in 1948 - but the studio remained in business until at least 1955.
