Ray Z Miengoon ? Ellingson ?
Sis Remember those Tuesday nights on water tank hill and the charlee horse in your leg. Seems funny now doesn’t it. Good Luck with Moe. Ray
Thanks for stopping by.
Update from MJM:
I think that last name is Ellingson. A possibility on the 1940 census is a family in Detroit Lakes with parents Abel and Lila with sons William L age 11, A Raymond age 9, and F Thomas 4
I have found several mentions of "Water Tank Hill" in connection with Detroit Lake - it was apparently a popular spot in the late 1930's.
ReplyDeleteRay obviously didn't get "A's" in handwriting.
Although Ray's penmanship needs work, I like his writing style. I bet he was a lot of fun in high school.
ReplyDeleteI think that last name is Ellingson. A possibility on the 1940 census is a family in Detroit Lakes with parents Abel and Lila with sons William L age 11, A Raymond age 9, and F Thomas 4. However there is no daughter, so the inscription to "Sis" is puzzling, although that could just be a nickname.
ReplyDeleteHe made his "r's" like my Aunt Lois. I tried doing it that way as kid and did use it for a while. It is a printed r with all the rest being script.
ReplyDeleteToo bad that last name isn't clearer. I bet someone would love to have a copy of that photo now!
