Mrs. C.O. Stusrud
Are these the same person or two different people?
This might be the daughter of the couple featured yesterday Photo Number 1568 …maybe.
Thanks for stopping by.  Do come again.

Update from Iggy:
Julia Bakke  (October 1863 - 1939) immigrated in 1888 from Norway and married Carl Oscar Stusrud in 1896. She is buried in Mayville Cemetery, Mayville, Traill County, North Dakota

Julia had three children (maybe 4) Oscar T. (1897), Benjamin (1901), and Martha (1904).

  1. I think the woman on the right is the same one in photo 1568. My guess would be this is Mrs. Julia Stusrud (the wife of Carl Oscar) nee' Bakke and her mother - who may have also been a Julia.

I like your theory that the photos are "duplicates" of those made in Norway.

  3. Really exciting to see so many emigrated Norwegians :)
I wonder if some of my relatives turn up here some day.

  4. The one on the left looks like she's very uncomfortable.
