Photo Number 961

This is a photo from 1934.  I have no idea where I got it.  It was one of those photos that slipped through the cracks in my scanning naming system.

Edward and the bull Tim 1934 and the developers mark HAK in Bemidji Minn.

That looks like a Guernsey bull to me..but I am no cow expert..even though I have milked a few milk cows.  In days gone by, the farmers were very proud of their bulls especially ones that threw good offspring.  To have a photo with a promising or proven bull was quite normal. ( I think they liked to show off the photos to their friends.)

Thanks for stopping by.  Do come again:)

  1. Tim the Bull looks rather small. Maybe he's just a little bull. :)

  2. Do you think it also didn't hurt business if they had a good bull? Didn't they stud out their bulls? You can tell how much I know about cattle.
