  3. Beautiful woman with beautiful hair. My hair wouldn't do that even with tons of gel in it!

  4. They used this green, slimy stuff that we called "snot" but dried stiff as a board. It was still in use in the late '30's. Remember it well!

  6. Ooooh...look at those curls. What a great shot! Wish there was a way to know who this is. If my ancestors had a photo that looked as good as this, I'd definitely want a copy! Well...that's not to say I wouldn't want a copy of a pic that wasn't as classy as this, but just that this photo deserves its rightful place as a family heirloom.

  7. Her hair is pretty. My elderly neighbor when I was a kid, Miss Nora, talked of finger waves.

  8. Does anyone know how they did those "finger waves"? I'm curious...not that I'll be doing my hair like that. It's pretty on her though.

  9. Sam I Am, I found a video clip on Youtube a while back. It was a long process but produced such beautiful results! I'll try to find it again, but I know I posted it as a comment on another post here on this site having to do with finger waves.

  10. Her hair is gorgeous! The photographer did a great job of capturing her personality, too. Lovely picture...I hope some claims it!
