This is a cabinet card from the Antique Shop in Duluth Minnesota.
L.H. Linkonen (?) of Floodwood Minn was the photographer. I could not find any information about him.
I liked this gals polka dot skirt and the bow in her hair. She looks much younger than him..however her wedding band is very visible. I will guess that this was taken in the late 1890’s to 1900.
Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)
She does look young!
ReplyDeleteThey're a cute couple but he looks like he's seen a ghost! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThought wedding bands were worn on the left hand.
ReplyDeleteI have sometimes seen apparent wedding bands on the right hand in older pics. Does anyone know when the tradition of wedding bands on the left hand started? Is it possible that before the marriage, the ring waqs worn on the right hand to signify engagement status and moved to the left hand after marriage? Just wondering out loud. :-) ~Abra
ReplyDeleteYeah, she looks like teenager, but back then they got married young.
