This is a beautiful little photo, it measures 1 3/16 inch by 1 5/8 inch. It is mounted onto a small card that is 2 inches by 3 1/4 inches. The photo was cut out and glued to the presentation card.
The photo even though it was cut out a little crooked shows a beautiful baby. This is an unmarked photo from the Royalton, Minnesota Antique Shop. I have no idea how to date this photo..so I will leave that up to input from the readers today.
Thanks for stopping by, do come again! :)
How large is photo 400? The idea I'm entertaining is that someone holding the baby was "cut out" - and if I recall, the divorced Bertha Freudenberg/Schreiber had a baby named Carl born around 1895. Wouldn't that be serendipity?

Hi Iggy, Photo Number 400 is a Cabinet Card ..so the photo measures roughly 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 inches. Anything is possible:)
ReplyDeleteSweet photo Connie. Blessings to you today.
ReplyDeleteIs the card one of those photo folio things that folds back on itself to make a frame? Those became popular in the twenties, so maybe this photo predates them.

Nice photo:)
ReplyDeleteNorkio, No ..not a folder of any kind..just a little card..the card stock they used was very heavy...Photo Number Five was about the same size..my guess on that one was that it was some kind of school card..but this child it too young for school:)
