Photo Number 213

This may be one reason that I do not carry a purse or wear a hairnet. This is probably from the late 1950's or early 1960's.  I have a feeling that this lady was all dressed up to go visiting.

Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)

  1. And probably only in her 40s. Everyone looked older back then. Fashion was not kind.

  2. I think the car looks like early 60s. Here is a photo gallery if you want to try and narrow it down based on that. http://www.stationwagon.com/gallery/gallery2.html

I noticed a lot packed on top of the car like it was a big family vacation or move. Maybe she is taking one last look around the place before she leaves. She looks a little sad to me. (And quite a bit over 40! LOL)

  4. This could be any of the neighbor ladies from the street I grew up on. You know, my mother loved a hair net all of her life (around the house, she never wore one out!)

  5. When I first read your post I thought it said " helmet" LOL. I bet you also don't wear hornrim glasses. I agree that this lady doesn't look happy. Tired and careworn.
