I think there is another part of the stump that they are sitting on, possibly on a bench, but maybe not. This looks like an outdoor photo, maybe after church. I love the belt buckle too. At first I thought it was the interlocked CC of the Chanel brand, but then I remembered that wasn't around in the early 20th century. :-)

NorkioAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-69021071758018350912010-09-23T09:09:22.857-05:002010-09-23T09:09:22.857-05:00Another in that great collection of photographic s...Another in that great collection of photographic studio props along with the chair and the end table.Alan Burnetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01015127443616786425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-41639380319041439652010-09-23T09:07:41.291-05:002010-09-23T09:07:41.291-05:00Rather unique prop for such fancy clothes!Rather unique prop for such fancy clothes!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-48155541723874037052010-09-23T08:01:52.891-05:002010-09-23T08:01:52.891-05:00That stump looks like it was used for splitting wo...That stump looks like it was used for splitting wood.MAYBELLINEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09459481721591224275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-48318847598474152612010-09-23T07:58:37.675-05:002010-09-23T07:58:37.675-05:00That stump is an odd prop. Judging by the shadow cast by the stump, I'd have to think this was taken outdoors.

Maybe they were "stumping" for prohibition or the right to vote...Intense Guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08441598926026727682noreply@blogger.com
