I think there is some kind of software or program that will search for duplicate images..I think that is what some people were doing over on The Old Picture of the Day Saturday guess who post... and they ruined it for us people who would guess without outside info:(Far Side of Fiftyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07995757632158408442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-61473214224188438902012-01-17T16:57:18.982-06:002012-01-17T16:57:18.982-06:00Your blog has gotten me wondering about something....Your blog has gotten me wondering about something...okay, maybe this is my ignorance showing here, but I'm certain one of you stellar computer geeks here will know the answer...it seems to me that a really helpful device might be to do a search, say in Google images, not by words, but by a match between graphics. Is there any such thing in existence? That way, you could look for duplicate pictures online without having to know the name. Today's pic would be a prime example of the need for such a program.

I know that there are a lot of blogs that are posting forgotten photos, and maybe that way, someone with an unnamed subject could scan "nonverbally" for similar posts that might include more information.

Anybody know of any such thing? Think it would work???

(now goes back to hiding head in paper sack *blush*)Jacqi Stevenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03471698670217119444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-62847150238012814042012-01-17T13:57:15.236-06:002012-01-17T13:57:15.236-06:00I figured someone out there would recognize the st...I figured someone out there would recognize the statue. This statue of the German poet and playwright was commissioned by Detroit's German-American community in 1908 at a cost of $12,000; the designer was Herman Matzen. Schiller's poem "Ode to Joy" was set to music by Beethoven in his Ninth Symphony.Intense Guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08441598926026727682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-92135941776449617902012-01-17T09:22:50.798-06:002012-01-17T09:22:50.798-06:00Thanks Anonymous! Thanks Anonymous!Far Side of Fiftyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07995757632158408442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-62358661216503049042012-01-17T08:30:37.016-06:002012-01-17T08:30:37.016-06:00That photo was also taken in Detroit.
