By the 1930 census he was married to Wilhelmina (Ortman) Behrens. His parents were Bradford L Reisinger and Eldora Rousch.

Update from MJM:
There is a marriage record in Waterloo, Black Hawk, Iowa on 12 Dec 1917 between Alfred J Lampe and Edna M Zeilinger. On the 1920 census Alfred J Lompe age 28, Edna M Lompe age 23, and Alfred J, son, age 5 mos, are living in Jackson, Hall, NE. 1930 they are living in Buffalo County, NE and the family consists of Alfred J Lampe, Edna, Junior, Marlys, Roberta, and Richard. The 1940 census has all the same family members, plus two more children, Gloria and Ronald. Now they are in Waterloo, Black Hawk, Iowa. They list their last place of residence (1935) as North Platte, NE. Al Lompe Jr died in Aug 2007 in Iowa. The name has varied between Lampe and Lompe, but haven’t seen it spelled Lumpe, so I’m not sure this is a match.

The back of this Cabinet Card is very decoratve.

Sussman was the photographer at 305 Nicollet Ave.  He was in business there from 1908 to 1915.

I would have guessed that this photo was taken in 1913 or 1914  it seems that mens hair styles were very large/bushy those years.

This is the last of the photos from Sasha, they came into her Newroom one day at Minnesota Public Radio and she saved them.   I have them all in my possession and will mail them to relatives if they are claimed. Thanks for stopping by.

Another Cabinet Card by Larson at 313 Wash Ave S  Minneapolis  Minn   Larson was at that address from 1882-1905.

Sasha 4

Two gentlemen and a young lady.  The photo is from Metropolitan Studio at 307 Wash Ave S   My best guess is that this is a photo taken about 1899-1902.  This photo has seen more wear, I could find no information on this photo studio….perhaps they were not in business very long.

Do you think the gentleman in the first photo looks like the gentleman in the second photo?

Photo Number 2823

I have a number of photos with no names that are all from The Minneapolis St Paul area.

I was contacted by email one day.

Hi,

I have a small pile of photos that might be precious to someone…. They are all from studios in St. Paul and Minneapolis.

Someone in the newsroom had them and I didn’t have the heart to donate them for random art.

As someone who’s done the painstaking work of genealogy, I know how rewarding it can be to rediscover a lost shard of family history.

May I mail them to you?

Thanks so much,

Sasha

I told her to mail them to me.  I think that some of the photos are of the same people.

Sasha one

A Cabinet Card.  The photographer was Lee and Co. 313 Washington Ave S Minneapolis

Lee and Co was a partnership between Levi Lee and Henry Boetcher and they were in business together from 1895 to 1896 then Levi got himself and new partner and moved just down the street to 307 Washington Ave S…then known as Lee and Koons.

Sasha 2

A photo from around 1900-1905 taken by Larson at 313 Washington Ave South Minneapolis Minn

Curious that they had the same address.  Anton Larson was in business at that address from 1882 to 1905.  Could be that he rented out part of his studio to Lee and Co. in 1895-1896.

If these two gentleman in the photos are not one and the same then they are related.

Thanks for stopping by.
