Update from MJM:
I found a Luther Mayre Ford, born 1886 in Mississippi and died 1959 in California. He was married in 1906 in Otero County, Colorado to Methe K. Rasmussen. Methe Rasmussen was born 1886 in Massachusetts or Nebraska, depending on which census you view, and died 1967 in California. According to a tree on Ancestry, Methe had a sister named Rosa K Rasmussen born 1877 in Wisconsin. Perhaps the Aunt Rose in the photo? I did find a Rose Rasmussen who married George Rich in 1907 in Rocky Ford, CO.

From Scott:
The lady in the photo is my Great-Grandmother Rose Kristine. She was the sister of Methe who married Luther Mayre Ford. The Fords and the Rasmussen's / Rich's were very close. Rose married George Rich. I remember them both as a young child and used to sit on his lap to watch TV. This is a photo I haven't seen of her. By the way, my five year old daughter is named "Rose Kristine" after her Great-Great Grandmother.

This photo went Full Circle 153 on March 8 2017.

  3. The Internet is an amazing place. The lady in the photo is my Great-Grandmother Rose Kristine. She was the sister of Methe who married Luther Mayre Ford. He worked as a mailman while he attended law school. I think it was one of the Ivy league colleges back East. He passed the bar, worked for something like five years as a lawyer but quit and went back to being a mailman since he enjoyed it more. I am curious how you came to have a photo of Rose? Are you related to the family? Thanks so much for posting it. I have a similar photo that was taken right after her wedding to George Rich (by the way my six year-old son is named after him).
    Best Regards,
    Scott

  4. While I was typing this reply my little Rose came down the stairs and hopped up on my lap. I pointed to the photo above and asked her "Who is that"? She stated, mater-of-fact..."That's my Grandma, who I'm named after." She's a smart one...:)

  6. Where there any other photos from that antique store? Perhaps there are others I would recognize as relatives? Just a thought....
    Thanks, Scott

    1. I mailed the photo this afternoon. The Post Office says you should have it on Thursday.
The best I can tell you is to go back and look at all the photos from Craig's Collection. You could try the search box on the left side of the blog and type in Craigs Collection and see what you get! :)

    2. I tried it, there are 234 results...but that is better than wading through all of the Forgottens!
