This is a Cabinet Card from the shop in Pequot Lakes Minnesota.
A P Overland was the photographer in Fergus Falls Minnesota. He was a a photographer in Fergus Falls during 1898 and 1899. I will guess that the boy is 4 and the girl is 12.

With all these names provided, you'd think this would be a slam dunk! Of course, there are so many possibilities of variations on spelling. Besides, I found it curious that the two children posing would have different surnames, although the implication would be they are siblings. Perhaps mom remarried--a possibility, considering the gap in ages?
ReplyDeleteI could find some Osbergs, but no Osbury in census records. But looking at that handwriting just makes my eyes blurry! I don't know how you made it out!
Or could there be a possibility that Olive was an Osbury/Osberg and Hovdal was her married name--with that upper handwriting being someone, years later, remembering to identify just who those children in that photograph were?
Or Holdal?
