Update from Iggy:

Frank Leon Fieldstad

The census mistyped his middle initial. By 1903, he is in Seattle, WA. He later worked as a mail carrier. He married Edith L. sometime before 1930 - but rather late in life. I don't think they had any children.

He was born in 1873 and died January 1933, he is buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Seattle WA

  3. That's quite a tie he was wearing!

Connie, what is the date range for that style of portrait? You are rubbing off on me, and I found a photograph like that style in an antique store near here. I always thought it would be dated earlier than this one seems to be.

  4. Funny enough his surname is Fieldstad, which in Norwegian means "a farm/village near a mountain" (Fjeld/fjell = mountain). I'm pretty sure you all read it as field (as in Springfield). :)
