  1. I love this photo card, so different then other birth announcements.

  2. The recipient appears to be Leah Syck nee Barnes. She moved to Ventura County, CA sometime after 1953 but before 1960.

The handwritten is so "bad" I'm not sure what to make of the baby's name. I'm not finding anything.

    1. Yes, it sure does look like a shaky hand...but I was thinking perhaps the name was Martha Louise McCulloch. Likewise, with the unusual handwriting, I'm wondering whether the recipient is really Mrs. Fred Seake...or maybe something like Lake?

Well, at least with a birthdate and location around Atlanta, Georgia, even if the name isn't quite right, hopefully something will show up :)

    2. I wonder if this baby is Find a Grave memorial #124125766. Though the Find a Grave entry doesn't provide the details, an entry on Ancestry shows this same woman "Louise McCulloch Wilkins" to be born December 30, 1908, and died December 14, 1996 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Besides, her marriage record showed her name as "M. Louise McCulloch," married to James D. Wilkins. Her mother's name might have been Martha, as well, so maybe that was how her parents differentiated her from her mom--by calling her by her middle name.

  3. This probably has nothing to do with this, but I found a Fred Lake family living at Fergus Falls but the street name is different. http://reflections.mndigital.org/cdm/ref/collection/otter/id/254
