    1. Yes I think so. By 1928 all of this family were dead and gone except for Pearl. I suspect that Tuberculosis was the cause.

  2. I think Sallysmom has found her - the last name looks like Casteel to me.

  4. I had to figure it all out but the father was 18 years older than the mother. It is sad how all of them just died so soon right after their daughter. My grandfather died of tb in 1937 so it was still a major disease 20 years later.

  5. What a sad outcome after that cheerful start. TB certainly was a dreaded part of life, especially in the cities. Even though we have the meds for it now, it is still an awful disease to go through. But at least now, it's something that people can say they survived.

  6. Happy to see this. My half sister is descended from Susan Mary Molver and I am happy to see / learn anything I can on the family. (I am descended from Susan Mary's brother Daniel.) Thank you for posting this information, this is a wonderful thing to do for people, posting the old photos with information transcribed.

    2. Re the forgotten photograph of Ruby Loretta Casteel Jan 21 1913-Nov11 1926. I have a postcard just like the one shown. Loretta was my first cousin 1x removed. All the girls except Pearl died very young but her brothers lived longer that the 20's. I met her brother Richard Stuart a few times he died in 1978. Arthur, Rebecca, Mary and Will were Loretta's uncles and aunts, all siblings. Rebecca was my Paternal grandmother and died in 1965. It was a thrill for me to discover this while randomly typing in family names into my browser. Edith from Canada.

    3. Thank you for the post! I have a picture of Pearl Amanda as an adult, probably in her 50s? If you would like it, send your email address. I tried to post it here but didn't find a way.

    4. This is from Edith:
What a wonderful surprise to find photo number 2036 during a random search on my family today. I had to send you my thanks. . I have the same postcard sent to my grandmother by “Susie” but there was no reference to the name of the baby and I didn't know which one it was until I read it on your site. Ruby Loretta was my 1st cousin 1x removed. The actual children in this family were Richard Stuart, Rena May, Pearl Amanda, Thelma Katherine, Robert Leonard, and Ruby Loretta. I knew Richard Stuart, a favorite cousin of my Dads and I have met Robert Leonard's son. Arthur, Rebecca, Mary and Will were siblings of the children's father, my great Uncle Dick, Susie's husband. Rebecca was my grandmother. Your wonderful act of sharing these photographs has brought a happy surprise to me and my family. Thank You so much.

    6. To LifeAndDreamzz. I tried to answer you by pm but couldn't make it work. Is there a way for me to send my email address to you without actually posting it. Perhaps I need an actual account or something. I have a picture of Pearl as a child but only on shadowy on of her as an adult with her two brothers. I know that Suzies mother used to write to my grandmother, Rebecca. I sometimes correspond with Suzies grandson, Robert Lenard's son. Interestingly I have sometimes seen the name Molver in connection with my DNA matches. It is so exciting.
