Update from Iggy:
He was born in Cass County North Dakota to Edmond F Buchholz (1859 – 1941) and Elizabeth C Fehling (1862 – Mar. 26, 1937  He married Sadie M. and lived in a variety of places; in 1940 the couple lived in Grosse Pointe Farms, Wayne, Michigan where Lloyd was a branch manger involved in typewriter sales. By 1970 they were living in San Jose, CA. It does not appear that they ever had children.

    2. Yep...and evidently started out in Cass County, near where my husband's family has some roots. How's that for a personal Full Circle?!

Hopefully, there are descendants of some nieces or nephews who might be interested in finding this photo. Such a cheery little guy!

  2. I hear stories of how people end up in California. It always amazes me that people back then were traveling there just as easily as everyone now goes south to Arizona or Texas.
