Photo Number 1699

This is a CdV from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

Hat lady Miller photo DL Antiques CDV 1884 to 1889

Miller was the photographer at 417 and 419 Nicollet Ave. Minneapolis, Minn.  We can date this photo from 1884 to 1889.

Ladies dresses were severe or close fitting, often with high white collars with a brooch at the neck, lots of buttons, odd little hats, hair plain or with curls pulled back. She is a styling gal for the late 1880’s.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. She might be styling - but she doesn't look all that comfortable. Getting dressed with all the buttons must have taken a while.
