Oline Strom Sundby then it says 1982 but I am certain it is 1892.
The photographer is A.P.Holand in Crookston.
You can almost see her bustle in this photo. She must have liked that fashion as the bustle era was over by 1886 or so. This may be her wedding photograph.
The back has lots of information. Oline Strom (Mrs. Hanson) possibly she was known at sometime as Mrs Hanson second marriage?
Mrs Andrew Sundby
Born December 23, 1866 Married to Andrew Sundby December 21, 1892
Father Johannes Odegaarden Norgr.
Thanks for stopping by. Do come again.
Update from Lars:
I think Oline was born Oline (Johannesdatter) Strøm Hanson (Dec. 23, 1866) in Øyer, Norway. She emigrated in 1885, and married Andrew A Sundby (Andreas Andersen Sundby) in 1892. It seems she died shortly after, in 1893 (or did her husband die then?).
Unfortunately, the Pennington County Oline Christina Hanson was married to a Lars Hanson who is buried in the same cemetery (Find A Grave Memorial# 77308335).
ReplyDeleteI haven't much luck finding a "better" Oline. I've not much luck with finding Andrew Sundby.

ReplyDeleteSources: This, and this (confirm father's name is Johannes). Their marriage is also here. There is something about Andrew A. Sundby administrating the estate of Oline Sundby, deceased, here.
(My daughter's name is Oline, so at least it is somewhat common in Norway...)
Find A Grave Memorial# 37730084 tells us Andreas Andersen Sundby (13 May 1857 - 28 Oct 1945) is buried in Mayville, Traill, North Dakota. I think LarsI has the "right" Oline. The newspaper article published Warren, Minnesota about Oline's estate is dated May 1900. Warren is about 30 miles north of Crookston. Mayville is about 50 miles from Crookston.
