Elda Jane Alwine (19 May 1892 - April 1987), was the daughter of Jacob A. and Gertrude Alwine. They lived in Conemaugh, Somerset, Pennsylvania. Elda married Nelson Herbert Yoder (1894 - 1976) in 1926. She is Find A Grave Memorial # 90886987. The couple lived in Hollsopple, PA - which is about 10 miles south of Johnstown.
They had one son, named Nelson Herbert Yoder Jr. (21 Feb 1928 - 16 Jan 1994) who married Catherine L. (1917- 1993)

  3. With her married name written on the back of each of those photos, I was wondering if they represented pictures of each of her children. However, I see from Iggy's post that the Yoders had only a son (unless the second child died in infancy???)

    At any rate, there are no less than SIXTEEN family trees including Nelson and Elda on Ancestry.com. Unmarried only son or not, there are a lot of people related to them...
