Update from Iggy:
Ross Herbert Baumunk (1 Feb 1878 in Brazil, Clay County, Indiana - Nov. 28, 1959 in Ogden, Weber County, Utah) was the son of Jacob Baumunk and Catherine Holenburg. Find A Grave Memorial# 117778879.

He attended Indiana State Univerity (Terre Haute) around 1900-1902 so I suspect this is a graduation photo.

The 1910 US Census shows Ross working as a teacher in Faribault Ward 1, Rice, Minnesota at the Shattuck School. In 1920, he was in Ogden, Utah with his wife Pearl (b. Oct. 20, 1888 d. Oct. 20, 1963) and son Dean Burrill Baumunk (24 Jan 1919-27 Aug 2008 in San Diego, California).

His parents family history:
"On the 29th of April, 1868, he [Jacob] was married to Catherine Holenburg who was born in Owen county, Indiana, December 28, 1849, a daughter of Frederick and Minnie (Overhelm) Holenburg, natives of Hanover, Germany. The children of this union are: Laura, the wife of W. H. Evans, of Saskatchewan, Canada; Noah E., also of that place; Orlando and Minnie, of Terre Haute ; Ross H. and Nellie, twins, the latter the wife of G. F. Lever, of Sugar Ridge township; Oscar J., at home: John W., who is teaching school; and Lydia and Ruth, at home."
