This is a photo from the flea market in Wadena Minnesota.
Kind of a strange photo. A man standing beside some piece of steam powered machinery and two little girls showing off their hats in bare feet.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Happy Easter! :)
Strange combination. Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't you just love to know the story behind that photo?!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
and the joy of Easter to you!
ReplyDeleteHoppy Easter!
ReplyDeleteStrange contraaption... looks like some sort of still. Maybe the girls were stomping grapes.
This might be what the contraption was!

"Apparently wagons of sorghum were unloaded atop the hill behind the mill where the canes were crushed and the juice then flowed into steam-heated cookers, or something like that."
What an odd conglomeration of images all in one photograph. The man and machine could be a fascinating study all by themselves, as well as the two girls on their own. Together, this is really a strange mash up, lol.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed that "steam boiler" has a big metal tractor wheel on the right (and presumably on the left) side.
