Photo Number 1108

This is a photograph from the antique shop in Duluth Minnesota

Cabinet Card Man with tie usiung posing stand Duluth

Note the three piece suit and the hand tied western style tie.  The photographer used a posing stand to steady this young man while he took the photograph.  This photo was most likely taken around 1900.

Thanks for stopping by.  Do come again:)

He is a pleasant-looking young man and, oh, what a beautiful chair next to him!

  2. The gent in the photograph seems like he spends most of his time watching paint dry. He should get out and go sledding downhill lickety-split! No joke, I sometimes actually do go sledding with the little kids in the neighborhood. I figure that if I don't do it now in my December years when will I? Many of my peers are now worm food and the bored few who aren't think I'm nuts - but so what?! The good Lord has blessed me with relatively good health so far so I'm going to enjoy it - not waste it. :-)

  3. To me he looks like he is thinking that he is hungry and wishes the photographer would hurry up. He is thinking about biscuits and gravy.:)

    1. Yes, the young man must be hankerin' for good, old-fashioned biscuits and gravy! It's great comfort food and just what I should fix for my Colonel's supper tonight. Thanks for the idea!
