An Azo Postcard from 1904 to 1918.  Addressed to Mrs. Eld ?  Bury in Homequist S.D.
Dear Millie, Rec’d your card some time ago and am sending the baby as I said I would.  It is a good picture of her.  You can decide for yourself who she looks like.  Every body around here says she looks like Will.  Does the wind blow any down there It is fierce up here. With Love Lena
There is a show in town today but I did not think that any place for a baby so we stayed at home + worked. Am putting my bed room carpeting down.  Rather late for such work don’t you think.
When I transcribed my husbands Grandmothers Diary from 1911 to 1913 she talked of going to town to the moving pictures show..it was a big deal.  Carpets moved around was also some thing that was mentioned in her diaries, but usually as a spring house cleaning task.
Thanks for stopping by.  Do come again:)

Millie Bury doesn't appear to be Irene/Lena's sister.

  3. That is a sweet photograph--and isn't it wonderful that it contains so much information? Hopefully, this one is a sure candidate for a family reunion and Full Circle story!
