This is a photo that may belong with yesterdays photo..somehow. They both came from the antique shop in Duluth Minnesota.
Here is the back of the photo.
Mrs. Mary Krouse or Krousl.
The photo is one of those strange shaped ones most likely from the early 1900’s.
Thanks for stopping by. Do come again:)
Interesting shape.
ReplyDeleteShe looks a lot like the Mary in the previous photo.
ReplyDeleteI found a Minnesota, State Census, 1905, Mary Krouse, North Branch township, Isanti, Minnesota Age 44. Listed at FRD No. 2 are husband John J, Mary C, Salma (14), Elsie (12), and Emma (11).
The children's ages don't look right to me - but the address matches yesterday's photo -
Later, Mary is widowed and is found living with Elsie M Schillinger in 1920 and subsequently in 1930, Emma Landin.
Ah, in the 1900 US census Mary is listed as born May 1859, and the children are:
Clara (14), Selma (9), Elsa (7), and Emma (5). I think this photo has the first three children - the oldest is a girl too.
Copy of the blog mailed to Katherine in Colorado July 12
