Photo Number 800

This is a photo from Flea Market in Wadena Minnesota.

Child and cat in a chair Wadena flea Market

The kitten is rather blurry, apparently it did not want to be in the photo.  You can see the reflection of the photographer in the window.

The fancy shape of the photo is something that I have see before but I am not sure how it was accomplished.  Perhaps one of my readers has an idea.

Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)

  1. What a sweet photo.

I just noticed "our" photo (far right in your header) - we love this old photo!

Hope you both are feeling better.

  2. What's Chance doing in the header? He's not an antique! But who is that cute puppy and children in the right hand header photo that Maple Lane said was them? They look so cute, like Hansel and Gretel. Is that Chance's great grandparent? LOL!
This baby is so cute and is that lace hanging over the beautiful rocker and another doily to boot? Very nice photo indeed!

    1. Hi Sam I Am, Yes that dog does look like Chance..might be a long lost relative..because I found that photo in an antique shop and could not resist it.
Maple Lane loved that old photo of the children and the dog so much..so I mailed it to her..she has a long haired Dachshund named Harriet:)

  3. This photo makes me think that a die cutting machine was used to cut the photo mat. Die cutting machines were invented in the late 1800's if I recall, and today, you can still cut similar shapes on home die cutting machines. The window this die cut created (if it did) would be the negative. Card makers and scrap bookers to this day use die cutting machines in similar ways.

    Anyway, it's a thought.
