Photo Number 689

This is a Real Photo Postcard from the Antique Shop in Solway Minnesota.

Friends with hats Postcard Azo Triangles Up Solway

This is an Azo postcard from 1904 to 1918.  A group of friends.

Women’s hats were at their largest in 1910, they had some very long hatpins that accompanied those hats!

Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)

  1. Love the hats. Looksto me, like they were all out for an evening and make a spur of the moment decision to get their photo taken. I think they are friends and not family.

  3. Great photo! I read that in France there was a law passed that limited hat pins to no more than 15 inches because too many people were complaining of getting poked on public transportation. LOL!!

  4. Beautiful...I would say this image was taken between 1909 and 1913, I love photos from this period, people stopped looking stiff and severe, their posture is natural, and you can see that these people really liked one another. If you look into their eyes, there is something familiar and recognizable about them....very much removed from the soulless, harsh and inhuman studio portraits of just a few years earlier
