Photo Number 639

Lets look at some houses this week.  This is a Real Photo Postcard, it is a Azo postcard with triangles pointing up in the stamp corners on the back..so that means it is from 1904 to 1918.

Postcard house Azo Triangles up people in front

A large house, with a wrap around porch..with some rocking chairs and clothes hanging on the line.  Might be a Father and a daughter..or maybe a young wife.  It looks to me like this house is in town.

Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)

  1. Such a beautiful porch! I like the fancy woodwork at the top of the columns, the two rocking chairs - and all the wash out on the clothesline!

  2. The man and woman must have been proud of this house to have a long shot taken. It shows the whole structure, though one can hardly see the man and woman. The porch, roof, pillars, and rocking chairs...oh those times should not be forgotten!

  3. I totally want to build this house. I live on a corner lot; it would be perfect!!

  4. With such a steep pitc roof it must have a great attic.

  5. Love all the lace curtains. I noticed that the house may have a lightning rod? But no gutters or downspouts. I can just picture how beautiful the woodwork inside must be. The address is 300 something.?

  6. I would say this house was built around 1898-1900. My front porch has the same lattice on the bottom and is a wraparound.
