  1. Excellent card : It was a very popular thing to merge photos together at this time, bringing together in one photo, people who were not in the same place.

  2. Interesting postcord. I never saw one like this. Does the "Made in Canada" indicate they could be Canadian?

Necoline could be a Norwegian spelling. This is the sort of mystery name collection hunt that Abra excels at.

  3. I've been playing around with this some. I am getting some hunches that this photo might have a slight possibility of being related to yesterday's, but that might give yesterday's a spelling of Wold, not Wald. however, those of us who have worked in the censuses alot, know letters are easily mixed. I did find a Marion Virginia Wold in a family tree with a grandmother by the name of Nicoline and I find that name in many Wold family trees. Perhaps these are cousins to yesterday's subjects. Don't get too excited though--I'm just working through some theories. Perhaps the last name is different and the mother is a sister to Marion's father. Will definitely need to search more. I agree with Iggy that this may have been taken in Canada, and since I don't have a World Ancestry Account, I can't search there, but maybe look around for some free Canadian Genealogy sites on the web. I will try to get back to this later, or maybe Iggy will find something. He is also good at picking things up through web searches!

  4. Interesting how they paired them up so the whole family was on the card. It seems like such a "modern" thing to do. Could we call this "early Photoshop" ha ha?

  6. The best I've been able to do is find a possibility. There was an Edstrom family living in College Heights, Alberta, Canada (its about midway between Calgary and Edmonton). I found a document that mentions Earl, Emily, and Edward (and a Llyod) attending Battleford Academy at about the time (1927). It is in the "Canadian Union," a publication of the Seventh-day Adventists.

  7. I haven't had any luck yet, either. i did find a ton of information on Marion's father (Wednesday's picture), a physician who traveled alot. I left the comments on her photo. Their family did live in Canada for about 4-5 years. Marion's two brothers were born there. I have had a hard time finding Olander's (Marion's father) parents names, as the public family trees tend to vary. I have seen the name Nicolene in a tree somewhere, as possibly his mother or grandmother. I just can't find census information on this family after they arrived in about 1872 (Olander & parents/siblings). I'll keep looking.
