Photo Number 462

PR Antiques Off to work family
I purchased this photo at the Antique Shop in Park Rapids, Minnesota.
PR Antiques Off to work family
I get the impression that this is a family.  Perhaps the mother was a serving maid and her children were house boys? What do you think? Or did she like white gloves and white trim?

Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)

Update from Norkio:
She is most definitely not the maid. :-) That is a beautiful example of an Edwardian ladies gown. It's technically from 1900-1918, but this dress is in the mid-period and best associated with the Titanic era fashions. You could probably date this 1910-1913.

  1. Yoikes!

I think she needs a "makeover" stat!

Sorry but she looks so masculine that she is nearly frightening.

  2. I think they were going to a party. A funny dress party.

If only the photographer had stepped back just a wee bit they might not have been whacked at the ankles.
