Two ladies..perhaps a mother, daughter and grandchild sharing a moment. They are sitting on logs. The wagon in the background has two small children. There is a sign on the tree but I cannot read it. This photo is probably from around 1910 from the length of the dresses that the ladies were wearing.
Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)
The two "boys" in the wagon have some strange looking headgear. I find this picture oddly (as in strangely) posed in how the women are sitting - but the grand-daughter has a wonderful smile!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo! Any idea where it was taken?
ReplyDeleteJudy, No Idea..it could be about anyplace that has Evergreen and Deciduous trees:)
ReplyDeleteThe lady on the right is wearing what I think is called a touring coat. Longer coats to protect women from the road dirt that became a problem when autos were introduced. I am curious what the object behind her on the log is. A coat? An engine?

ReplyDeleteOld Geezer Welcome! Glad to have you aboard! :)
ReplyDeleteNorkio..I am not sure what that object is..it looks like the lining of a coat..with two sleeves pulled partially out..or a cover or a case??..maybe it is a cover for the camera?? That is the only thing that makes sense to me..Far Guy and I looked at it a long time..:)
I've seen several photos like that -- with people staged in the background
ReplyDeleteIt's really lovely photo!
