It seems like mother used to call those shoes "Old Lady Comfort" shoes. Back in the early 1960's we had two elderly lady sisters as neighbors and they both wore these shoes.
Interesting that the shoes have open toes. This grandma was styling!
My Grandmother Brooks went barefoot as much as possible, but those were here dress up shoes. She would just squeeze those wide little feet into them and one could tell she hated to wear them. Iva Horton wore them all of her life everywhere. She gardened in those shoes.
