Photo Number 144

This is a photo that I purchased in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.  There is no photographers information or names on the back.  This gentleman had on a banker style detachable collar with a visible collar stud.  He is also sporting a hand tied cravat.  I thought he was interesting looking!   I think that this photo was probably taken around 1895 to 1900.

Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)

  2. Those are some bushy whiskers! Now you know I have to go look at a beard site to find out just when those were popular, lol.

  3. Yes it is an interesting photo. That is quite a beard. Looks like he combed it and shaped it.

  4. Our one mall has a semi antique store in it. They had these types of photos sitting around as decoration for their old furniture arrangements. I like that you share them and some of us can take time out and enjoy and respect them. It gives a time to reflect about history and life and stretch our memory banks.
