Photo Number 100

This is another South Dakota/Illinois photo.  This one had me bugged. It is unmarked.  For one thing it has a totally different look  It is also a totally different era.   I began to wonder and compare photos, and features. Then I looked at the strand of pearls..it was then that the photo spoke to me..does it speak to you?  Do you think it looks like Edna from yesterday?  Here are both photos side by side to compare.
Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)

  1. I think you are on to something. The eyes look the same. She sure looks like an older Edna. I can't make out what that thing is in her hair. It looks like an earring looped there.

  2. I think that's just a piece of hair reflecting the flash. I thought it was a ring in her hair too at first, but that wouldn't make much sense. :-) I think it's Edna too! Amazing to have both pictures and see who she grew into.

  4. Yes, I think you are right. The older picture reminds me of a photo in our centennial book of teacher named Miss Taylor. It is taken the very same way. She never married because her boyfriend went to war and didn't return. She was wearing the same type of thing, maybe a drape and she had pearls too. The lighting treatment was the same. I am sure she had it taken pre ww 2.

  8. I'm not so sure it is Aunt Edna. I enlarged to 400% and I agree the left eye brow and mouth looks a lot alike, but the nose seems different. BUT, I have heard that the ears and nose continue to grow. I certainly have changed...My expression is simular but weight and age have changed me a lot. LOL Someday someone may be comparing my old photo wondering! Is it? Isn't it???
