Photo Number Seventy-Seven

This is a real photo postcard an Azo..from 1904 to 1918.  I believe it might be one of those school marms, as every part of her body is covered.  This is another South Dakota Photo..but this one has no name.   If you look to the left there is a wooden box that says Fels Naptha Soap..the wooden box is upside down.

Thanks for stopping by!  Do come again:)

  1. She does have the appearance of a school teacher. What a tiny waist too :)

  2. I zoomed this photo 200% to get the detail on her hand. What I find curious is the ring she is wearing on her left hand. It appears to be a solid band, almost like a man's wedding band, which is usually wider than a woman's. It is also on her left middle finger. I can't really tell if she is wearing another ring on that hand or if it just appears so and the back part of her hand is just blurred.

I don't know if that would factor in on the school marm theory, as they sometimes weren't allowed to marry, or even date. I hope that somewhere along the line, someone could identify if this belonged with some of the photos that do have names....wouldn't that be great?

  3. She looks like she could handle a room full of mischievous students with no problem!
